How to get Credits

Websites get credits in the following ways:

• Every time someone clicks a link back to Craig's Directory from your website it earns 5 Credits.
• Every time someone clicks the link to your website in Craig's Directory, your website earns 1 Credit.
• You can buy credits ($5 per 1,000 Credits). Simply click the icon associated with the website listing to improve.

What do Credits give you?

• All websites listed in Craig's Directory are ranked by the number of credits each website has accumulated.
  
• The more credits a website has, the higher it's rank and the more exposure it gets.
  
• All approved website are listed/ranked in the following websites:
  • Craig's Directory
  • Craig's Mobile Directory
  • Craig's Directory RSS Feeds
• Websites with "purchased credits" are also listed/ranked in
  • Web Directry
• Websites with 2,000 or more "purchased credits" are also mentioned in
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Google Buzz

What do the Icons mean?

Alongside each listing you will see at least 4 icons. Each offering you a different option for your websites listing:

1. Clicking this icon gives you a little more information about the website, including how it achieved it's rank.
2. Clicking this icon allows you to update the details of the listing. You will need to know the email address used when submitting the website.
3. Clicking this icon allows you to see all the listing opportunities available and used by this website.
4. Clicking this icon shows you how you can improve the rank of the website.

Some website have a fifth icon, , this icon shows you that a website boosted it's rank by purchasing credits.

Website Exposure?

With lots of credits, it is possible for websites to have over 2,000 links from Craigs Directory!

3. Links to the Top 25 websites are displayed on

   2. the Page 1 of the Ranked Sites page (thumbnail version)
4. Links to the Top 100 websites are displayed on the Page 1 of the Ranked Sites page (text version)
5. Links to the Top 3 websites within a chosen category are displayed on the Category selection page.

Add a Website

To add your website to Craigs Directory, follow these simple steps...

• Click the Add A Website link.
• Once in the "Add Website" page, select the submission type; "Ranked" for higher rank and "Free" for general submission.
• Next, select the appropriate category and enter the URL (web address) for your website.
• To have the Title, Description and Keywords populated from the META tags of your website, click the "Get Your Websites META Values" button and wait for these to be populated.
• Complete the rest of the submission form and click the "Submit Link" button.
• If you selected the "Ranked" submission type, complete the purchase of credits for higher rank and immediate inclusion.

Edit a Website

If you need to change the details of your website link, request a new thumbnail for your web site or purchase additional credits for higher rank, simply click the icon next to your website listing, then click the icon in the pop-up window. Use your email address for authentication
